My Baby Boy
 
 
You're mommy's little boy.
I want you safe and warm.
I promise to always be here for you.
To support and protect you.
As you grow to be a man.
You'll always mean
The world to me
My precious baby boy.
I want for you health and happiness
I promise to guide you
As you become a man,
We'll go fishing and play ball.
I'm sure we'll do it all.
You'll always be
The greatest son to me.
Sleep now,
Precious son
Rest your tired eyes.
Today is the first day
of the rest of our lives
As mother and son,
I Love You,

Boys are made of chuckles & grins,

Tousled hair and banged-up shins,

Things with wheels & frogs in pockets

Questions, baseball caps, & rockets;

They're joy & mischief, fun & noise-

That's how it is – boys will be boys!
